We want you to have an enjoyable stay at Atlantis and living onsite means we are on hand to offer guidance and suggestions to help make your holiday experience all you wished for.Although sited close to all of Torquay's main facilities the area is quiet and peaceful.

Enjoy a gentle stroll along Torquay seafront; only a few minutes walk away. 
Wander around the harbour and shopping area then sample the delights of the many varied restaurants.

English Riviera Global Geopark
Discover and explore the fantastic geology of Torbay. There are over 100 miles of beautiful footpaths to enjoy around the Riviera area. 
The South West Coastal footpath runs along all 22 miles of coastline.

Cycling in Torbay
Whether you want to mountain bike through the natural surroundings in nearby Cockington, or simply cycle along the panoramic coastal network linking Torquay, Paignton and Brixham; there are plenty of ways to get out on your bike.

Cockington (1 mile)
A picture postcard thatched village that dates back to the Domesday Book, and a 17th century manor house set in 450 acres of garden, woodland and lakes.

Berry Head National Nature Reserve (8 miles)
Standing at the southern tip of Tor Bay, this impressive limestone headland with its 200 feet high cliffs includes visitor centres with exhibitions about the wildlife, geology and other heritage features.

Dartmoor National Park (10 miles+) 
Covering an area of 368 square miles, Dartmoor is the largest and wildest area of open country in Southern England. It's not only a conservation area but also a vibrant living, working landscape and community. 

Eden Project (60 miles) 
As well as creating stunning gardens under the iconic Biomes, and laying on fantastic arts and music events, Eden runs social and environmental projects and carries out valuable research into plants and conservation. 

Heritage & History

Torre Abbey (0.5 miles) 
Since its foundation as a monastery in 1196, Torre Abbey has witnessed, survived and even played a role in some epic moments of history, during it's life as an abbey, a family home, art gallery and now an attraction.

Torquay Museum (1.5 miles) 
Devon's oldest established museum, founded in 1844 by Torquay Natural History Society, and displaying a diverse variety of artefacts include pottery, geology, Victoriana and local archaeology finds

Kent's Cavern (2 miles) 
One of the most important Stone Age cave sites in Europe, with guided tours and underground exhibition, Stone Age woodland trail, kids archaeological-dig area and hands-on cave art areas. 

Bygones (2 miles) 
Bringing the past alive, this museum houses a life sized Victorian street, period display rooms, World War I trench and extensive model railway. 

Golden Hind, Brixham (7.5 miles) 
This replica of Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hind gives a real sense of what life at sea really used to be like, and portrays the sense of adventure to be had living in the 16th centur

Buckfast Abbey (12miles) 
Originally founded as a monastery in 1018, Buckfast is the only English medieval monastery to have been restored and used again for its original purpose; now complete with visitor facilities including a bookshop and monastic produce shop.

Waves Leisure Pool
With our unique sloping floor, water heated to 30°C, flume, wave machine and friendly, qualified lifeguards on duty at all times you are guaranteed a safe, enjoyable visit. We have activities for all ages including our water-play activity centre and toddler slide, featuring water jets, fill 'n' spill buckets, hand wheels and water wheels.

Babbacombe Cliff Railway (2 miles) 
Built in 1926, it has shuttled hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers to and from Oddicombe Beach.

Dartmouth Steam Railway River Boat Company (2.5 miles) 
Journey along the Torbay coastline to the picturesque town of Dartmouth, then choose a relaxing ride back on the steam train or a gentle journey around the coastline by ferry.
